Spring Fever

It''s March and I officially have Spring Fever!  Time to pack away the sweats and sunny up the house!  Vamp up the spring/summer wardrobe with a few new tees and capris.  I have been out shopping a few times in recent weeks at my local Target, Wal-Mart, and BJ's Wholesale.  Historically, the majority of my wardrobe can be traced to a big box store or warehouse club.  Unfortunately, 99.9% of the choices in these places are not "home grown".  Well, maybe the cotton is but it is shipped to an overseas factory to be turned into that super-cute pair of cargos.  I'm going ot have to do some online searching for more Made in the USA clothing choices.

My friend Val is going on this journey with me.  She recently spotted some athletic-wear by SoSporty.com that states Made in the USA clearly on the tag. BUT, I called them to ask if I could purchase their products anywhere online and was told they currenty only sell wholesale to stores like TJ Maxx or Marshall's.  I have to admit, I was left with doubts after hanging up the phone.  Next question on my list: Are there any regulations/requirements for proving your "Made in the USA" item really is?

  1. Cool blog...I will be reading. Brad's first question for you if this is going to be your soapbox is what kind of car do you drive?

  2. Brad would still go head to head with you about the Honda...which he defend ultimately doesn't go into the US economy but back into the Japanese pocket regardless of providing some US jobs...and as a Detroiter I have to say buy American...both in terms of where its manufactured and where the profit is returned.
